Meet Kelly Mead; Your Real Estate Agent in Chicago

An art major from Marymount University, I first worked in interior design, specifically the model home industry, working with builders and developers up and down the east coast. Real estate was a key segue as it gives me the opportunity to work directly with my clients delivering bespoke service that is tailored to their individual needs. Specializing in the sale of new and existing homes in Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Gold Coast, River North, Bucktown, Wicker Park, Andersonville, Edgewater, Ukrainian Village, Evanston and Oak Park. I get great satisfaction from placing people in the home that was meant for them, as I do in helping sellers transition into the next phase of their lives and investors finding options and opportunities.

Why I Am Different

Arming my clients with in-depth market intelligence, property assessment, neighborhood information to educate and guide them throughout every step of the process so that they can make the best decisions. Leveraging my interior design background and industry connections I can make recommendations from designers, contractors and handymen to attorneys. I hold myself and my business to very high standards, you can count on my professionalism, integrity and discretion.

Military

Two of my five children served in the military. My eldest son is a veteran of the Air Force and a younger son is an active duty Marine. Their service has inspired me to get involved in that community. I am a member of the Pritzker Military Museum and Library and a supporter of Marine for Life and Chicago Marines Foundation. I am passionate about working with veterans, guiding them and am a Military Relocation Professional.

Giving Back

As a way of giving back to my community and my city, I am a Minister of Care and a Eucharistic Minister for Saint Clement Church. A lifelong dog lover, I am a registered foster home for PAWS Chicago and Illinois Saint Bernard Rescue, fostering until they find their “forever home”. A longtime board member for the National Runaway Safeline until recently, I was charged with organizing fundraising events and coordinated donor outreach. I am a member of the Lincoln Park Research Initiative at DePaul University which collects, documents and preserves the history of the Lincoln Park community. We host two annual public events.

In My Free Time

I am a practitioner of 105 Hot Yoga, and have traveled for Vinyasa yoga retreats in Sri Lanka, Croatia, Sicily, Greece, Columbia, Mexico and Thailand. Hiked the Camino de Santiago in France, ridden my bike across Iowa with Ragbrai, skydived and foraged for native herbs in the woods and prairies of Illinois. During the summer I am in a golf league and, throughout the year, I volunteer with the Humanities Festival, The Chicago Architectural Foundation Open House Chicago, Catholic Charities meal service for refugees and unhoused, and The Saints; ushering for theaters venues in Chicago and I love to read!
